Here comes the title track of Yashraj Films’ Shuddh Desi Romance! Sushant Singh Rajput and Parineeti Chopra’s fun chemistry has now shifted from the confines of indoors to the streets and forts of Rajasthan. The video of the song is a visual treat, laced with amazing desi dance steps.
The title track, like the movie, depicts the candid affairs of the heart in the suburban India. Sushant and Parineeti as the embodiment of the modern youth are seen celebrating love khullam khulla, and they aren’t scared of society and its traditions.
The song is shot beautifully in the blue city Jodhpur. In fact, the majestic Mehrangarh fort and the gullies of Jodhpur serve an ideal playground for the couple, who dances away in the glory, proclaiming shuddh desi romance.

The carefree track has a rebellious touch, and is written by Jaideep Sahni. Benny Dayal and Shalmali Kholgade have sung it. Music composers Sachin-Jigar have also tried to bring the charm of masala tracks of the late 80s for this song, and pleasingly it’s also contemporary.
